PPMA enlisted The Harris Poll to conduct an online survey within the United States among 592 homeowners ages 18+ to determine pest control usage and found nearly half of American homeowners with HHI of $75K+ (48%) have used licensed pest control professional services in the past year. Interestingly, spiders were the second-most common pest homeowners called a licensed pest control professional for (33%) behind only ants (41%). What’s more, our AI findings for the month of November also found that homeowner sightings of spiders in backyards, garages/sheds, and basements increased by 91%, 44%, and 32%, respectively as people spend more time in their homes as a result of the pandemic.
