Get the Facts About Cellar Spiders

Is your home suffering from a long-legged spider infestation in Crystal Lake? If so, then you may be dealing with a species called the cellar spider. Watch this video to get the facts about these bugs.

Cellar spiders are harmless to humans, often confused with the daddy long-legs spider, and come from the Pholcidae family, which contains around 1,500 species. The maximum body length for a cellar spider is about a centimeter, and the legs grow to about 2 inches in length. Interestingly, this type of spider will kill other spiders to take over the web and steal it for themselves. To lure the other spider toward them, the cellar spider will disturb the web to mimic a caught insect. Then, when the other spider comes to investigate, the cellar spider will conduct his ambush.
